Sikhs in Dubai organized a Blood Donation Camp on 28th August 2009. It was organized with support from Dubai Health Authority and Asiatic Building Material LLC. As a responsible community, this was our effort towards our social responsibility.
We tried to reach the local masses through online media and radio to come forward and donate blood. By Guru Ji’s grace this camp was a huge success. We had over 176 people who turned out for blood donation out of which 149 donors could actually donate (us included) and others were rejected for some reasons.
Such initiatives help us make everyone realize our responsibility to the society. We not only save many lives but we also bring smiles to the unknown unseen faces. Such initiatives also create an awareness in the society and provides a great feeling to be of help to some one in need.
Sikhs in Dubai Team would like to thank all the volunteers who helped make this camp a great success. View the snaps here.
